Goose Fair 2019

Nottingham’s Goose Fair returns to the Forest Recreation Ground to delight and entertains the city’s residents and visitors!

Visitors to Goose Fair 2019 are set to enjoy more than 500 attractions – from the ever-popular family, children’s and old-time rides - to the latest white-knuckle rides for thrill-seekers.

Goose Fair is one of Europe’s biggest travelling fairs. It has a history that dates back more than 700 years. For thrill-seekers, there are usually the likes of Crazy Bulls, Bomber Mach 2, AtmosFear, Airmaxx, Air, Star Flyer, Sea Storm, Rock Rage, Reverse Bungee, Mouse coasters, Moondance and the Giant Wheel.

For those a little less adventurous at heart, there are funhouses, Waltzers, Super Stars, Super Spins, Superbowls, Sizzler Twists, Miamis, Matterhorn's, ghost trains, Dragon Coaster and dodgems. There's even stuff for the traditionalists among us, with the gallopers (carousels), cake walk, helter skelters and rotors.

Foodies won’t be disappointed either! Take your pick from French crepes, paella, Spanish churros, Indian kebabs, Chinese noodles, Caribbean grub, chestnuts and doughnuts, candy floss and brandy snaps, as well as mushy peas and mint sauce.

Geese are currently in short supply at the Nottingham Goose Fair. But it is still going strong after 700 years. Do you know why it’s called the Goose Fair? That’s because it was the best time to market and eat goose!
